We have a tradition of taking the kids a pumpkin patch every October. It gets harder and harder to do that every year because of our schedules so we decided to just make it a family day. I took the day off of work and we let the kids stay home from school. The kids loved it!

Baseball/T-Ball
Kyla participated in the Summer and Fall Baseball Season. Jesse was the coach of the Fall Season. She made so much progress and learned a ton!! I am so happy I signed her up for a sport. At the beginning of the summer, she was competing against her own teammates and lashing out at them for getting the ball before she did. Hahaha! Once she learned that they were all part of a team, she calmed down...a little... ;-)
I honestly don't know ONE SINGLE THING about the game of soccer so I signed her up for baseball and just thought we would give it a try. It was SO fun to watch and be a part of that Jesse signed up to coach! He was great! He is really good with the kiddos so it was just an all around great way to spend our Saturday mornings.
Kyla's Pre-K teacher even came out to watch her one day. Kyla was thrilled to get her first trophy in the summer. She also received a medal for courage which she really does have. She will run after any hit. If the ball is in the air or rolling by, Kyla is after it. That quality in her makes her really fun to watch!

Jocelyn is 5 years old!
Jocelyn is 5 years old!! She has been waiting for this day for a very long time. She has been upset for about 6 months because Kyla turned 5, but she didn't. LOL! We had a family celebration for her with the Frozen theme. She was so happy and loved her Frozen birthday cake!! Kyla and Jocelyn painted pumpkins with Aunt Suzy and had a great time. Kyla has been asking to paint things since that day so I know the pumpkin painting left quite an impression. Happy Birthday to my Jocelyn Leigh. I love you so much and can't believe you are 5 years old already!
Jack Henry - 21 months
Oh my goodness! Where do I start?!?! I am so in love with my 21 month old big baby. He weighs around 35 pounds and is really tall. Most people that see him think he is 3! They will try to talk to him like he is a big boy and then he will just speak his baby talk to them. We always have to tell people that he is only 1 and 1/2 and their jaw just basically hits the floor. We call him "the real big baby" and say he is like Big Baby in Toy Story. Haha!
Jack is still so cuddly. He wants to be held and cuddled and scratched all the time. I know I keep talking about how sweet he is, which he is....however....Jack definitely lets you know what he wants and/or what he doesn't want or disagrees with. He cracks me up sometimes because he will start grunting and growling and then yell out and point at me when he gets mad at me. It is so funny that I sometimes have to turn my back so he can't see me smile. Jesse showed him how to play with a remote control car last week and I told him to do something that he didn't like and Jack immediately pointed the remote directly at me and pushed his thumb upward while looking me right in the eyes. I think he was trying to "roll me backward with the remote...like the car." LOL! I told him that Mommy doesn't just roll away when you point a remote at her. Ha! So...yes, Jack is SUPER SWEET, but he does have a stubborn side too.
He loves Elmo, Toy Story, and Batman! He even tries to talk like Batman. He will point at himself and say Batman in this very low voice and then run around the house really fast. Jack also LOVES Buzz Lightyear. We have a couple Buzz toys and he plays with them a lot.
Jack also loves music and dancing. I know that Jesse plays music for them throughout the day. I think it is really giving him a love of music. As soon as he hears a good song, he is up and dancing to the beat. He likes it when others dance with him too. He tries to pull everyone out to the "dance floor." So....we do have several "dance parties" every week because of his love of music and dancing.
Jack is a great eater. His favorite is any kind of meat. He will eat breads and carbs, but it is definitely not a favorite.
He also loves to read books. If he is acting fussy, I will tell him to go get a book. He will go get one and bring it to me and we will read it together. Jack loves story time.
Jack also loves to wrestle and play outside. Just like any other boy!! :-)
Jack says a lot of different words. They all don't sound exactly like the proper word, but he is definitely talking a lot now. He says...mama, dada, I did it, There he is, Where did it go? (he puts his hands palm up and looks at you when he says it), apple, banana, applesauce, cracker, hello, grandpa, sister, Reese (sa), Tia, cheese, snack, I love you, Bye bye, bubbles, says the animal sounds, etc.
Jack will also blow you a kiss, throw things in the trash, get his own diaper and wipes, shoes, get books, go to the bath at bath time, hand signs to the Itsy Bitsy Spider and other songs, etc.
He goes to bed without any problems around 8pm. He will sleep until around 7am. He sometimes wakes up around 4 or 5. He will cry out for about 10 minutes, but then goes back to sleep.
Jack also figured out the "CHEESE" face in September. If he sees a camera or you tell him to smile, he will give the biggest squinted "cheese face." I love it!
And...last, but not least, he LOVES his sisters. He runs to them with excitement any time they get up in the morning or walk in the door from school. He will yell out their name and run to them and give them a big hug.
