Kyla's first road trip was to Florida. We went with Jesse's family and had a wonderful time at the beach. It was the perfect getaway! I was nervous about the 12 hour car ride with a 4 month old, but Kyla was the perfect passenger. We did not have any problems at all. She played with her toys, looked out the window, and took a lot of naps. The beach was beautiful. I only took Kyla out to the beach early in the morning because I didn't want her to be in the sun and heat at such a young age. She was intrigued by the sound of the water and a little overwhelmed by the wind.
Reese, aka...the travel/vacation expert, had a great trip! Man, she definitely knows how to utilize all the ammenities that resorts, hotels, condos, etc. have to offer. With Reese as our guide, Jesse and I were able to check out everything our condo had to offer! :)
Jesse's mom and dad (who are the best in-laws EVER) loved spending an entire week with Kyla. They were happy to watch her anytime we wanted to venture out. It was really cute because Jesse was very excited about having a full time babysitter for a week. We haven't spent much time away from the baby because I am still breastfeeding. So, knowing we would have grandma and grandpa around for five full days, my loving husband was determined to make sure Kyla had plenty of bottles for the week. He bought dry ice to put in a cooler so that my breast milk could make the 12 hour trip without thawing out! Ha! :)
We had all had a great vacation! Here are some pics!

Mommy and Reese putting Kyla's feet in the water.

She got a little scared when the water splashed her.

Looks like she's trying to decide if she likes the water.

Fun in the sun!
