Kyla is now one year old! April was such a fun month for us. We were always up to something so I took a ton of pictures. Here is a little of what Kyla has been up to lately....
* She uses her pointer finger all the time. She points at everything!
* Kyla gives kisses...the cutest open mouth kisses EVER!
* She has started dancing (aka bouncing) when she hears a catchy tune or when we chant "Go Kyla Go."
* She has started saying a few different words like...hello (LO), kitty (itty), daisy (dee-zee), mama, and dada. She doesn't use the words regularly, but she has said each of them a couple times.
* Kyla climbs EVERYTHING! She loves to climb up the stairs, climb on her toys, and climb onto furniture. If she can get enough leverage then she is most definitely going to climb on whatever is in front of her. She will try to stand up in the high chair at restaurants and she even tries to stand up in the grocery cart at the store!! She is fearless and I cannot take my eyes off of her for ONE second!
* The biggest change this month is how shy and bashful Kyla is when she gets around other people. She started being shy right around the time she turned 11 months old. She will hug me really tight and rest her head on my shoulder when someone comes around that she doesn't know or hasn't seen in a while. Don't worry though, Kyla is quick to warm up after hanging out with people for a little bit.
Having fun in her butterfly glasses.

Playing in the toy basket.

Look at the face on our little one....She is SO happy to be holding a thermometer and SO happy to be sitting in the big chair.

Happy to be holding a q-tip. She has tons of toys, but thermometers and q-tips can really make this girl smile!

Standing up and watching Sesame Street.

Giving our munchkin some lovin! Looks like she is already thinking... "enough already."

I love that smile!

Just crawling around the house checking things out.

Up the stairs! She climbs every step and smiles once she reaches the top.
