20 weeks

Hi there! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know we did! I am posing a 20 week shot of my baby bump for those of you who want to see. Kyla had a major growth spurt in my 19th week. I went to work one morning and by the time I got home my tummy was much bigger! It was really exciting to see the change! I will post some of our Christmas photos as soon as I can.

Reese's 8th Birthday!

Reese celebrated her 8th birthday last weekend. The theme of her party was "The Littlest Pet Shop." She picked out the party decorations and birthday cake on her own. However, she was very surprised to find a bounce house in the backyard!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We found out today that we are having a baby GIRL! She looked right at us during the sonogram. We were looking at her profile one minute and then she just turned her head and looked right at us! The doctor said everything looks great! Jesse and I are so thankful that God has blessed us with a healthy baby girl! We can't wait to meet our little...KYLA MAE ARMENDAREZ!

Update...18 Weeks

OK, so I have to admit...I had a vision about our baby. I was on the computer at home and pictured Jesse surrounded by his family of GIRLS. I pictured a Christmas card with me, Reese, and another little girl smiling at Jesse and loving our daddy so much! I, of course, don't know for sure, but am thinking that Jesse's many years as a ladies man may come back to haunt him! Hehehe! :-) So, that was my vision, but we have had lots of family and friends tell us they think we will have a boy. We will soon find out!! Jesse took a quick pic of me yesterday, so I could post an 18 week shot of the baby bump. I will definitely post again soon since our next appointment is on Friday. Stay tuned....

Hi everyone!

I had my 15 week appointment last Friday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. I just love the sound of the heart beat. It's a sound that I will remember forever! At our next appointment we will find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I don't have any feelings as to whether the baby is a boy or girl. I thought I would because most people think they know before they find out, but I truly have no idea. What I do know is that I already LOVE THIS BABY SOOOOO MUCH. The sonogram picture is on our refrigerator and I kiss it every morning before I leave for work.

At your request, I am posting a couple pics of the baby bump. My body is definitely changing. I haven't been able to fit into my pants for about 3 weeks now. It's crazy because the more my stomach grows the more excited I get. I will post more pictures soon!

South Padre Island

For the second year in a row, we celebrated Halloween with Jesse's family at South Padre Island. It was so nice to be able to relax by the beach. On the 31st, we dressed the kids up and took them into town to let them trick or treat. They stopped by several different stores to get their candy. Later that night, the adults had a costume party. The costume party is always fun because our costumes are a secret until the party starts. The 2008 trip was another successful trip. Here are some pics...

Pumpkin Carving

Reese and JJ went outside very early this morning to carve Reese's pumpkin. Reese loved every minute of it...except cleaning out the pumpkin. She said, "I'm not touching any of that slime, but I will try to pick out those nuts (seeds)." :-) She did a great job! Thanks for the help JJ!

We went to the pumpkin patch today! CC helped Reese pick out the best pumpkin. We are going to carve it tomorrow morning. Happy Halloween!

Update...10 weeks

Hi everyone!

I had my 10 week appointment on October 10th. Jesse was with me and we got to hear the heart beat. Hearing the heart beat is my most favorite part of the appointment! So far everything is going as it should, so we are very happy!

Thankfully, I haven't struggled much with morning sickness. There are times when I am feeling a little nauseous and woozy, but if I just put a little something in my tummy I feel fine. I am still adjusting to my new appetite. I am hungrier than a teenage boy and I eat like one too! It's really fun!! :-)
Katy was in town this past weekend for Melody's wedding shower. We took a 10 week side shot before we headed to the shower. Here is the latest pic of the baby bump.

Surprise!

We are going to have a baby! We found out when we were in Virginia. Thanks to my OCD, I took about 7 pregnancy tests before I really believed it was true.

I had my first prenatal appt on Sept. 12, 2008. At the appointment, I found out that I was 6 weeks pregnant and was able to hear the baby's heart beat! It was truly amazing. I remember thinking, "Wow, there really is someone in there."

We are seven weeks along and the due date is May 6, 2009. Jesse and I are excited about sharing the news and keeping everyone updated. Here is our baby's first pic.

Suzy Goes To College!

Well, we successfully dropped Suzy off at college in Virginia. Before heading to the college, the fam spent some time at Virginia Beach. We had a wonderful time! After all the fun in the sun, we made our way to the campus. It took us about 5 hours to set up the dorm room. We were very happy that Jesse was there to help get things situated. The campus is really nice and I think Suzy is going to love it. She seemed excited to finally be there and even more excited when we drove away...hehehe!
