3 months old!

Kyla is now 3 months old! We cannot believe how fast she is growing. At three months old, she is interested in everything that goes on around her and she loves to be around people. Kyla also loves to talk, smile, and sit up. She isn't able to sit up on her own yet, but she loves to be propped up so that she can see what is going on around her. She is just starting to learn how to reach out and touch her toys. So far, she has been able to grab and hold onto her little set of car keys. I think the next step for her will probably be putting things in her mouth. She has already been putting her hands in her mouth, so I'm sure her toys will be next. :)

Swinging...she swings every morning. Also, take a look at that crazy hair. It sticks straight up all day everyday, but we love it. I think her hair parts are battling each other right now. We will have to wait to find out which part will win.

Happy 4th of July

This 4th of July was a fun one! We didn't go anywhere, but we did have a lot of fun spending time with our family. The best part of the day was letting Kyla take a dip in the pool. It was her first swim! Since it was so hot during the day, we waited until about 8pm before taking her out to the pool. Getting in the pool right now is almost like taking a bath since the water is about 84 degrees. The whole swimming experience lasted about 10 minutes because Kyla got a little cold. I think I see a water baby in our future. She definitely likes the water!

Earlier in the week, Kyla had her 2 month check up. She now weighs 11 lbs. 13 oz and is 23 inches long. The poor baby had to get her first set of shots. She was a trooper though and didn't cry too much, so mommy was very proud. :) We love our growing girl so much! She sure knows how to make us smile.
