Kyla is 4 weeks old!

Kyla is 4 weeks old! At 4 weeks old, Kyla is a colicy baby. She is fussy all day long...I am not exaggerating. Jesse and I stay very patient and work together so that we can give her the care she needs. It truly is exhausting, but we have talked to some of our friends who have had colicy babies and they have told us that the fussing and crying does not last forever. Kyla has a couple calm moments throughout the day and we definitely take advantage of those moments by talking to her and getting to know her expressions and sounds. Even with all her fussiness, we spend our day smiling at and talking about our baby. We think she is so cute! She is our new addiction and we cannot imagine life without her! The Best of Sisters!

I recently told Reese I would post pictures of her and Kyla on the blog and title the post "Sisters." Reese then asked me if I could change the title to..."The Best of Sisters." I, of course, did not have a problem with that change at all. We are all doing very well. I will post again as soon as I can, but I have to go right now because I hear my baby crying. My mommy duties outweigh the computer time so....stay tuned! :-)

Life is good!

Hi there! I'm so excited to be using the computer today! With a newborn around these days, I haven't figured out how to sneak in my computer time...until today. I put her in an infant carrier (baby bjorn), gave her a pacifier, and within minutes she was asleep. So...mommy gets computer time!!! :)

We have spent the last 12 days getting to know our new baby and we all just love her to pieces. Kyla is so cute...even in the middle of the night when she wakes up. No matter how tired I am, I just look at her and all I want to do is take care of her. Kyla's best time of day is in the morning when she first gets up. She is very alert and loves to quietly look around the room. We went to her first doctor's appointment a couple days ago and she already weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces. The doctor said she looked great!
