Happy Birthday Kyla Mae!

Hi everyone! After 13 hours of intense labor, Kyla was born on April 27, 2009 at 11:50am. She weighs 8 lbs 0 ounces and is 19 inches long.

Jesse and I initially went to the hospital about 5am on Sunday morning, but were released to go home about noon. We went home took a nap and were about to watch a movie when I started having regular contractions. We drove back to the hospital and 13 hours later our beautiful daughter arrived! Jesse and I are so happy! We can't stop staring at our baby. She is a blessing from God and we are so very thankful for her! I can't give much more info right now because we are still trying to get situated at home. I will update again as soon as I can. We have tons of pics from the day of her birth...here are a few.

37 Weeks and A New Due Date!

May 3rd...here we come!!! Kyla's new due date is May 3rd, so that means I will be pregnant for 15 more days (or less). It's a little weird to think that the end is finally near. I've recently been dealing with the end of pregnancy issues like trouble sleeping, feet that swell at all times of the day, cramps in my tummy, and just feeling altoghter HUGE! Although I'm dealing with the end of pregnancy aches and pains, I am very thankful that my pregnancy has been a smooth one and can truly say that I have enjoyed the past 37 weeks.

One fun part about getting such a big belly is watching the different reactions people have when they look at my belly. Here are a few..."Wow, you sure are all baby...when is that baby due?" Then, there is the look of complete shock along with the jaw drop as someone says, "You are huge!" or "That is one big belly!" And, let's not forget the eyes that almost bulge right out of a person's eye sockets as they simply stare in disbelief. The different reactions I get from different people has been really fun to see. I always walk away smiling!

2 Year Anniversary!

This was Jesse and I two years ago on April 14th! What a wonderful memory!! Our wedding was perfect! Looking at our pictures makes me smile and makes me want to go back to the beach ASAP!

Now I'm going to take a second to say thank you to Jesse for being such a great husband. He truly is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him! So...thanks for being a good man honey....I love you and Happy Anniversary! Here we are today...excited about our expanding family and all the good times yet to come.

Baby Bump at 35 Weeks

I am now 35 weeks pregnant and am already counting down the days until I get to meet our little baby. My belly is getting bigger and bigger everyday. It is heavier than it ever has been and I am having a hard time imagining it getting much heavier, but I'm sure it will!!!
