Happy Halloween!

For Halloween this year, Kyla and I dressed like ladies from the 50s. We got ready at home and then went to Aunt Paula and Uncle Kevin's house to eat dinner. I didn't take her trick or treating this year. We will go next year when daddy can come along too. The mamarazzi took a bunch of pictures of Kyla looking super cute in her pink poodle skirt and tennis shoes! I just loved her costume!

Mama and Kyla in our poodle skirts.

No one can wear a poodle skirt without dancing...not even a toddler! :)

Kyla loves to take Buttons for a walk at Aunt Paula and Uncle Kevin's house. She walked that poor dog around so much that he started to hide from her. Ha!

Acting silly!

18 months

Can you believe it?!! Kyla is 1 1/2 years old!! She is loads of fun to hang out with and sure does keep us busy. We go non-stop all day every day! At 18 months Kyla is...

* A great sleeper! She sleeps from 7pm to 7am. She usually takes one two hour nap a day around 2:30 or 3:00.

* Loves music. She likes us to sing songs to her. Kyla says, "Yaaaayyeee" and claps when the song is over. :)

* Still a huge fan of Sesame Street. The first 15-20 minutes are her favorite. That is the part of the show where the characters are all out on the street talking to each other.

* Enjoys playing in her church classroom on Sundays.

* Loves her sister, Reese! Kyla gets really happy whenever Reese is around. When Reese walks into a room where Kyla is playing, Kyla squeals, smiles, and runs up to her big sis to give her a huge hug.

* Learning to give the best hugs. She has been hugging us so tight lately! She just wraps her arms around our neck, holds us tight, and pats our back. Jesse and I just love it! Kyla's big hugs just melt our heart!

Reese's Homecoming

Reese's Homecoming game was this weekend. She wore her first mum!! We don't talk about it too much though because Daddy gets a bit worried about his little girls growing up so fast! Aunt Paula and Chloe helped Reese get ready for the night and when I showed up to take some pictures, Reese looked beautiful! We had a great time at the football game!

Anna with her grand-girls before leaving for the game!

Here is a pic of my little lady! I just can't believe that this is the same little girl that ran around calling me "Dikki" when she was 2 years old. And, I can't believe that I could pick her up and carry her around with me at our wedding in 2007! Now, Reese is almost 10 and going to a Homecoming football game...wearing a mum! Wow...time flies!

And, here is a pic of my little love.

State Fair of Texas

Jesse and I went to the State Fair of Texas and had a blast! It was such a beautiful day! We pretty much ate the entire time. We tried the fried Frito pie, a Fletcher's corn dog, quesadillas, a turkey leg, tornado potatoes, and ice cream! We definitely did not hold back. Ha!

This is the fried frito pie. It's not bad at all, but it's just not THAT good either. I hope that makes sense. We just wanted to try something fried and crazy. :)

And...this is my turkey leg! For those of you who don't know, I LOVE TURKEY LEGS! It is truly the reason I go to the Fair. This thing weighed 2 pounds and it was SOOOOO GOOD!
