Kyla is 5 years old!

My little girl is 5 years old and is full of personality!  Kyla is the most kind hearted and loving girl.  I am always amazed at her sweet spirit.  Kyla is VERY VERY VERY attached to me right now.  She follows me around and talks to me non stop.  She loves being my helper and gets so proud of herself when I give her praises.  I love to see that my positive words can truly influence her demeanor.  

Kyla is ALSO a strong minded, stubborn, and opinionated girl. Haha!  She has recently developed an opinion about pretty much everything.  Instead of just going with the flow, like she used to, she likes to discuss, question, and negotiate ALL THE TIME! I frequently have to remind her that I am in charge...not her!!  Just the other day she went from kissing and hugging me as I was reading her a story and saying, "You are my best friend mom.  I love you so much!" to screaming "You are the baddest mom EVER!" when I made her go to bed that night.  LOL!   Another one of my most favorite things she says lately is "I thought you were not my mom anymore mom because you are being mean at me."  She typically says this with a sad face after I have enforced some rule.  :)

I have such a special connection with Kyla.  I feel like God's love shines right out of her and fills me with joy from the tips of my toes to the top of my head.  I am thankful more than words for this sweet and sassy little girl.  

Happy Birthday Kyla Mae!!  I love you FOREVER!!!

Easter Eggs and Easter Baskets

Mr. Jack had an ear infection so he wasn't feeling very good when we dyed eggs this year. 

Kyla absolutely LOVES to dye eggs!  I can tell it's one of her favorite things to do all year.  

Reese is an expert since she has been dying eggs for many years now.

Reese, my little reader, loved the new books in her basket.  This girl will knock out a book in a couple days.  She loves to read and is GREAT at it!  

Bluebonnets!

The little ones got their pictures taken in the bluebonnets this year.  I have never done bluebonnet pics before so it was fun to do something new.  

I think this is a perfect picture of Kyla.   This picture truly does represent how she is at 5 years old.  I'm so happy that I will always have this picture to look back on of her at this age.  Adorable! 

This picture of Jack cracks me up.  I had to get it.  Number One...he looks like his Grandpa Dan  in this shirt AND Number Two...it looks like he is sucking in his stomach.  Haha!!  I love my little man and his collared button down shirt! 

This picture is great too.  It shows what Kyla does best...support her get into everything little brother.  She was protecting him from falling during their photo session.  Such a sweet big sister! 

After Bath Cuddles

I love putting these two brunette, brown eyed kiddos in the rocking chair after their bath.  They always laugh, smile and snuggle with each other.  It melts my heart to see how much they love each other.
