Jack Henry!!

Our little Jack Henry is finally here! He was born on March 6, 2013 at 10:05am.  He weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.  I was 39 weeks pregnant when he finally decided to arrive.  My contractions woke me up from my sleep around 11:30pm and we waited at home until about 1:30am before heading to the hospital.  Jesse and I waited....well Jesse waited and I had intense contractions...until about 6:30am before I was admitted and given an epidural ( I just love the epidural...ha!).  I was able to relax a bit because of the epidural and then about 3 1/2 hours later Jack was here! My delivery was sooooo much easier this time than it was with Kyla!  As soon as he was out, my doctor and nurse just laid Jack right on my chest.  It was the best feeling being able to see him and hold him.  I love him so much already and am thrilled to be a mommy again!

37 weeks

I am 37 weeks pregnant and excited to be a mommy again!  Can't wait to hold my little man.  Today Jocelyn came over to play with Kyla.  It was a beautiful day so we had fun playing outside.  I took a couple of pics of my sweet Kyla while we were waiting for Jocelyn to come over.  I just love my Kyla to pieces!!  She is such a sweet girl and is so fun to be around.  Miss Kyla Mae always puts a smile on my face!

35 Weeks!

35 weeks pregnant!

Me and my sweet hubby.

Baby Shower

My friend, Jodi, and sister in law, Paula, hosted a great baby shower for me at the beginning of February.  It was actually the morning of Superbowl Sunday.  We all had a great time.   I think everything turned out perfect!  I am very blessed to have friends and family that support me and my family.  After the scare in January, I think that everyone was just very happy that little Jack was still in my tummy on the day of the shower!  P.S. I am behind in my blogging and am trying to get caught up before the baby gets here.  I messed up the order of the pictures and just don't have time to go back and fix it so here are some of the pics from the shower, in no particular order!!

Aquarium!

The girls didn't have school the other day so Jesse took them to the aquarium.  Anna and GG went with them also and everyone had a great time!  Jesse said it wasn't too crowded so they were able to walk around the whole thing twice!  They walked around once and bought their favorite animal at the girft shop.  Kyla picked a manatee and Reese chose a cheetah.  They also had lunch at that time.  Then they walked around another time before leaving.  How fun!! When I put Kyla to bed that night she told me that she had "the best day ever."  It was so sweet and made me really happy! :)

32 Weeks

Here are the latest pictures of my baby bump.  Jesse took one picture and Reese took the other.  I can tell that Jack is getting bigger because I feel my stomach stretching!  At my doctor's appointment last week he weighed almost 4 1/2 pounds.  I think he will be a big boy when he does finally arrive.  Also, I am predicting that he is going to be much longer than Kyla.  Kyla was 19 inches long when she was born.  For some reason, I think Jack is going to be around 21 inches long.  I just feel him ALL OVER my belly.  It feels like he is on the top of my stomach, the bottom, and the sides of my stomach!

I am very thankful that my contractions have finally stopped and that Jack will stay in my belly longer to grow and get stronger.  I was able to go back to work on Monday.  I LOVE being back!  Not only does it make time go by much faster, but I love seeing the little faces of my 5th graders.  They make me smile!  So, as of now, all is well.  I have about 8 weeks left until I get to meet my son.  I can't wait to hold him and give him lots of love!!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it is already January 13th!  We have been a busy little family since the new year began.  On New Year's Day, Jesse and I moved Kyla to a new bedroom so that Jack can use all the baby furniture when he gets here.  That was a big job, but well worth it because Kyla absolutely LOVES her big girl room!  We surprised her with it and she just kept saying, "Oh, I love it!!"  and "Thank you SHO much!" :)   I will post pics of her first big girl room soon.

I haven't taken many pictures lately because on the 3rd of January, I started to feel a little weak in the tummy.  Being that I was 30 weeks pregnant I thought it was just minor aches and pains that would go away after resting.  Well...I was wrong.  I ended up going to the hospital on the 5th and found out that my aches and pains were really contractions.  After a couple of shots, a prescription that I have to take until I am further along in my pregnancy, and bed rest, the contractions are finally subsiding.  Thank you, God!!  I am definitely not feeling like my normal self and cannot do much AT ALL which drives me crazy, but I will, of course, do whatever it takes to keep Jack in my belly a bit longer.

The picture below is one of the only pics that I have taken recently.  Kyla came home from school the other day and was SO HAPPY about the polar bear she made at school.  She has played with this little guy all week AND wants to Face Time with everyone to show them what she made.  I love this pic because she is wearing her "pretty princess dress" and accessories and she wanted me to take a picture of her "posies" (posing) with her "holar bear."  Makes me a happy mommy to see her so happy!
