Kyla's First Christmas Musical

Kyla's first Christmas musical was this week.  She did great!  It was so fun to watch her sing songs with all of the other kids.  She bowed after every song was over which no one else did so I think she added that part herself.  So cute!  Kyla sang all the songs until...she spotted her daddy in the crowd.  From that point on, she just smiled, waved, and blew kisses to Jesse.  I was video taping from the side and couldn't stop laughing.  The other adorable thing she did (in my opinion) is yell out to her teacher during the middle of the Santa Clause is Coming to Town song.  Kyla looked right at her teacher and said..."POTTY!"  So, her sweet teacher said come on and they ran off the stage and headed straight to the bathroom.  Haha!  Kyla continued to sing the entire way to the restroom.  I have all of this on video and am so happy!  I can't wait to show her when she gets older.  We are so proud of our little girl.  I don't even have the words to express how thankful we are to have her in our lives.  God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave Kyla to us.  We are one blessed family!!!

Chloe's Sweet 16 Party

Here we are at Chloe's sweet 16 party!  Chloe had an amazing party!  There was delicious food, cupcakes, a candy bar, a great DJ, and an artist who drew caricatures.  I didn't get a picture of Chloe which I am really sad about.  She was socializing and dancing so much that I didn't want to bother her. She looked beautiful though and we had a great time celebrating her 16th Birthday.

Here we are (minus Kyla).  Kyla hung out with my sister and her cousin that night, Jocelyn, so that we could stay out late.  We like this pic because it's the three of us and I am 25 weeks pregnant with Jack.  We like to compare the more recent pic to the pic from 2009.  In the 2009 picture, I am 25 weeks pregnant with Kyla and wearing the same dress.  It is fun to see how much Reese has grown up in 3 years.

O Christmas Tree

We decorated the Christmas tree the week of Thanksgiving.  Jesse set the tree up inside when Kyla wasn't looking so when she came out of the bedroom and saw it standing in the living room, she was so happy.  Reese has always loved decorating the Christmas tree.  She was excited to show Kyla how to get everything all set up.  I just let Jesse, Reese, and Kyla take over and do the whole thing.  It was great!  I took pictures and watched them have a good time.  :) 

Fun with Daddy

Kyla loves spending the day with daddy after she gets out of school. Today their adventure included a lunch date at a restaurant that had two big bears in the entryway. Kyla obviously loved it!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year.  It was nice to have the entire week off.  We were able to do a lot of things as a family during the week which was really fun.   We spent Wednesday night with Jesse's  family and Thursday with my side of the family.  I didn't take any pictures on Wednesday night, but I did take pictures on Thursday so I at least have some.  Kyla and Jocelyn spent most of the day playing on the swing set.  Pa was a good sport and spent a lot of time outside with the girls.  It was pretty funny watching the girls boss him around out there.  Who knew 3 year olds were so bossy?!!  Haha!  

Cooking with Kyla

Kyla LOVES to help mommy cook in the kitchen.  She is a really good helper too.  Her favorite thing to do is crack eggs (with my help).  She also likes to stir, use the measuring cups, and pour things into different bowls.  Reese took some pictures of us while we were making our favorite pumpkin cake for thanksgiving.  

Kyla's First Gingerbread House

Kyla and I went to Bed Bath & Beyond the other day.  She has never been there and she walked around like she was at Disney World.  She kept telling me how "amazing" everything in the store was.  She wanted a fondue pot, an electronic change counter, AND new slippers.  I was definitely NOT going to get her any of the things that she thought were "so pretty and amazing" so I found a gingerbread house and showed it to her.  Thankfully, she thought it was a fair trade and we left the store with ONE item...the gingerbread house! :)  We went home later that afternoon and Kyla immediately got to work on her house (with a little help from mommy).  She was very proud of herself and her house!  Great memory!
